Pictures of Pau

So, these are basically the people i have been hanging out with the most here (JP is also included, but he refused to get in the picture). From the left they are: Stephanie, Missy, Jeff, Maddie, and Cassie. Missy and Jeff go to WSU with me, but i had never met them before! They are all very nice people. I hang out with JP too, but, like i said, he refuses to have his picture taken.

Below are some pictures of Pau from the Boulevard where I usually hang out. I think they are pretty, but you can judge for yourself! Enjoy!!

Here's the train station, at sunset!

Pretty, Pretty Sunset over the mountains!

The mountains! The peak in the middle is on all of the post cards here so I figured I should take a picture of it!
Me! I look so happy. :-P
This is of Cassie (on the left) and Missy (on the right)

This is of the train station. (again!)

Pictures of Biarritz

So, I have pictures that I took last week in Biarritz:

It was really fun! I went there with 7 friends and we basically just spent the entire weekend on the beach! We went out on Saturday night, but other than that I didnt really explore the town at all. It was really fun there! This coming weekend we are going to Spain!! Its gonna be really fun! We are going to San Sebastian, St. Jean de Luz, and Bayonne. San Sebastian is in Spain! :-) We will spend the night there and come back on Saturday in the evening!

I also have pictures of some of the people I went with. My mom told me that people have been asking to see pictures of them! so, here's one of JP and one of Maddie. I have pictures of the others in my other post with pictures of Pau! JP's picture isnt all the great b/c he kept refusing to let me take it. so, here they are:

Oh, and I have a picture of Maddie
Classes are going well. I only have one, so it gets kinda boring during the day. I am not liking my host family so much right now, but hopefully it will pass. I am contemplating not staying for the entire year but still not coming home. I just dont know that I like Pau as much as I thought I would. Its beautiful and fun here, but I also want to spend time travelling and out of school. I dont know what to do. I will probably stay, i just dont really want to.

Yeasterday was my moms birthday and i was sad to have to miss it. I sent her a present but she hasnt gotten it yet. I also havent gotten my boxes from her, so I am waiting impatiently for those! For now, i suppose i will just have to wait!

Tonight I am just gonna go home and pack for my weekend! I am gonna try to avoid my host family as much as possible! I dont know why i dont like them so much because they are nice. I am just not getting along with them like i wish i could. oh well! hopefully it will change because i would hate to spend 4 months like this!

France so far

So, I've been here for 2 weeks so far! Its great! I love it here, but miss everyone back home!

The first week in France was spent in Paris and that was amazing! We did pretty much everything you can think of to do there! We went to the top of Notre Dame, to the top of the Eiffel Tower, to sacre Coeur, to Montmartre, to the Arc de Triomphe. We walked to all kinds of different gardens too. On the last day there we went to Versailles, which was beautiful! Me and 2 of the girls I was hanging out with rented bikes there and rode around for an hour on the bike! It was so fun! We did lots of other things too, but I don't even remember right now! We took a boat ride on the Seine (at night of course) to see the city all lit up!

I have made lots of friends here so far, which is great! The whole group of USAC students are so great! everyone is so nice and very easy to get along with! and our "guides" are very nice too! They are named Ryan and Robina. Ryan is from Ohio and decided to move to Pau after his study abroad experience here! Robina is from Germany, but has lived here for 15 years!

Here is Pau it's great too! My host family is nice, so that's good! It is a woman named Anne-Sophie and 2 kids named Pierre-Guillaume and Laurie-Anne. They are 8 and 9 and very cute! Anne-Sophie speaks English, but the kids do not. I like the town of Pau as well. It's not what I expected, but still very nice! I like to go downtown and sit on 'the boulevard' to have a drink with friends! The boulevard is kinda the main hangout for college students here. It has a great view of the mountains too! I have gone out a few times with some French students I met already! they are very nice and quite funny. They laugh at all of us when speaking French and we laugh at them when they speak English! its great! I am very happy to have met them!

It kinda sucks right now because my laptop wont get online here so i cannot put pictures on her eyet, but i have a ton! Eventually I will get them online somehow! Until then, you'll all just have to wait! :-)
